Leisure Centre Design
The Derbyshire Leisure Centre was a ‘Traditional Design’ project which gave us at HCA the opportunity to showcase our design competence and flair. The Centre features a swimming pool, Sport England sports hall, a fitness gym and teaching spaces. We are currently undertaking a minor refurbishment of the leisure centre to accommodate an expansion of the fitness suite.
Sports Centre with Scene Setting
The Youth Centre Sports Hall was specified with integrated lighting and ventilation controls. Each ‘Scene Setting’ automatically switches the lighting levels and ventilation rates to match (for example, in ‘Badminton Mode’ lighting levels are raised to ‘Sport England’ standards, whilst the ventilation rate drops to serve just 20 persons, thus ensuring that ventilation air does not interfere with play.
Clifton Leisure Centre
Clifton Leisure Centre is located in Nottingham. As part of a design and build team, we designed M&E equipment to ensure that specialist equipment, such as a Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, operate efficiently. The units also comprised of comfort heating and cooling to ensure that there was always a comfortable environment in the gym area.
